Happy New Year
So, what better way to ring in the new year than with a brand new play list, full of hard bop, classic jazz, and even some funk. Some independent artists I'm featuring this month include Italian pianist Roberto Magris from his album "Check In", and The Big Three Trio's album "We Got Rhythym", and Michael Coppola's "New Impressions." In the interim, I also received gifts from Mr. Jason Rhone (Kenny Dorham's 2-disc set, "Live at Cafe Bohemia") and gifts from my brother Todd, the photgrapher (Herbie Mann and Jackie McLean).
