Playlist update, new independent artists
So, a complete playlist overhaul (except the Katahdin's Edge material - I just love it). Some new artists to check out, including Michael Copolla who plays a custom 9 string guitar. Let me know what you think of it. I really like the material he recorded with singer Rhonda Thomas (pictured right).
Also included are some great tracks off of the Wes Montgomery / Wynton Kelly disc Smokin' at the Half Note that a kind listener (Kevin Shorter from Lawrenceville, GA) sent to me off the amazon.com wishlist. (Thanks Kevin!)
Also, be sure to listen for some great cuts from my new 2-disc Ahmad Jamal album Cross Country Tour (1958-1961) which I'm really digging right now. Also, check out some of the fantastic tracks from some new albums I've recently purchased, trombonist Curtis Fuller's Blues-ette, Lennie Tristano's Intuition, Pepper Adams' Encounter!, Harold Land's West Coast Blues, Jackie McLean's Destination Out!, Brad Mehldau Trio's Art of the Trio, volume 5, and Dexter Gordon's Dexter Calling. Fantastic new albums.
I'm glad I can share them and some Christmas tunes from Vince Guaraldi, Bill Evans, Oscar Peterson, and Dave Brubeck.
